Daniel Rafaelic was born in 1977. He graduated History on the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb where he currently lectures at Departments of History, Archaeology and Psychology. He's in the process of obtaining PhD. He regularly publishes scientific papers and books. In public, he's recognized as film historian and film critic and holds highly attended public lectures. Films he directed were presented to audiences at the film festival in Locarno and the Zagreb Film Festival. For two years he worked as Head of the Croatian Film Archives. His latest book, Cinema of the Sun: Ancient Egypt on Film at the end of the year will be published simultaneously in Cairo and New York.
